Mike Schmoker's portraitDr. Mike Schmoker is a former administrator, English teacher and football coach. He has written four books and dozens of articles for educational journals, newspapers and for TIME magazine.  His most recent book is RESULTS NOW: How We Can Achieve Unprecedented Improvements in Teaching and Learning, which was selected as a finalist for "book of the year" by the Association of Education Publishers. His previous bestseller, RESULTS: the Key to Continuous School Improvement, is one of the most widely used books by school leaders in the United States.  Dr. Schmoker has keynoted at dozens of state and national educational events and has consulted for school districts and state departments throughout the US and Canada.  He now lives in Flagstaff, Arizona with his wife and two daughters.

Mike Miles

Mike Miles currently serves as the Superintendent of the Harrison School District in Colorado Springs. As an instructional leader and professional developer, Miles has also helped teachers and administrators in over 30 school districts improve instruction and raise student achievement. He is recognized state-wide and nationally as an accomplished practitioner of leadership development, organizational effectiveness and systems thinking. Mr. Miles holds degrees from the United States Military Academy at West Point, the University of California at Berkeley and Columbia University.  He has served the public interest as an Army Ranger, Soviet analyst with the U.S. Department of State, Diplomat to Poland and Russia and Colorado public school teacher. He is the founder of Focal Point, LLC.

Diana Sirko

Dr. Diana Sirko is a veteran Colorado educator with 34 years of experience. She is currently Superintendent of Schools for the Aspen School District and will begin as the new Deputy Commissioner for the Colorado Department of Education on July 1. She is well known for delivering many professional development programs across the state on a variety of topics and has assisted many school districts with data analysis and their quest for instructional excellence. Dr. Sirko is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in the Educational Leadership program and has taught classes for the University of Denver, Adams State College and the University of Northern Colorado.

 

Andrea Kutinsky

Andrea Kutinsky, Ph.D. has been in education for over thirty years. She is a former teacher, principal and Director of Elementary Education and recently retired as Director of Special Education for the Boulder Valley School District. Dr. Kutinsky is a principal consultant, author and presenter recognized state-wide for her work in curriculum alignment, Response to Intervention and instructional practices. She also co-created a widely-used instructional calendar that guides instruction for several school districts. Dr. Kutinsky currently serves as the Director of Focal Point, LLC.
